The reason of my e-mail is to bring your attention to a piece of information to your attention which you have mentioned in your articale “Who are the Taliban” in which you have mentioned Hezb-i-Islami of Afghanistan.
While I see that you are up to date about the current situation and condition in Afghanistan and well connected, but I see that you are not well informed about the past events of Afghanistan specially about HIA.

I have been a member of the HIA for the past 28 years and I am still thankful to Allah that I am still a member of this beautiful organization. I still represent my party in the US.
I respect every human being’s idea no matter what it is, but that doesn’t mean every human being has the right to misinform people either intentionally or unintentionally. In your article whatever information you have given about recent issues, it is up to you and I don’t want to say anything about that, but your little information of His Excellency Honorable Brother Hekmatyar throughing Acid on the face of girls in the old days is absloutely falls, not that this evil thing didn’t happen, but it was not HIA or brother Hekmatyar who did that just as it happened last month in Kandahar. The first time it happen was almost 35 years ago, and then last month. HIA being blamed for this issue in the old days investigated the incedient and found out that elements in the govenment of time with ties to a communist party which at the time was the followers of Mou the communits leader of China. The party was called (SHULAY JAWID) which a active member of it is the current Forign Minister of Karzai goverment. They did this to give a bad name to HIA which worked. Unfortunately, people like yourself who were away from the events of those days of Afghanistan are using information which is not correct. Please research this info and then use it so. The same goes for a lot of your comments in regard to the fighting in Kabul after the fall of communisim in Afghanitan which I will address if you were kind enough to contact back.
Other then that, I wish the best for you and hope to have a peaceful world after all these bad things happening around the world.
